I received Aponce's stuff for today's update once I got to work today,
and had originally planned to update as soon as I got home. Then I
forgot and went to the mall, started watching volume 3 of Excel Saga,
etc etc... So what's been going on with me... I'm going to go see the President's of the United States of America this Saturday. They are one of my all time favorite bands and I thought I would never get a chance to see them live, especially since they broke up for a long while. They're now back together, at least for a little while, and I'm really looking foreword to the show. It should be a great time. Ok, so that might not quite be why I've been in such a good mood. As for other stuff, I really couldn't say. Sakuracon
is just two weeks away now, and their is still lots to do! Aponce
is trying to get some fliers together to promote the re-launch of
JN. I also just found out the other day that Fred "Piro"
Gallagher of Megatokyo
is going to be at the con. I'm hoping to get a chance to say hello,
tell him how awesome his comic is, and hopefully get him some JN promotional
art. Hope he likes it ^_^;; That's about all I can think of to say right now other than isn't
it wierd that as I type this the country I live in is now officially
at war? spambot - March 19, 2003 |
Whew,
cutting it close again, but at least I got some more sketches done...This
time, it's the new look for Dr. Meridian! Unfortunately, it's
been a semi-crummy week and I've been a bit out of it lately, so I'm
not sure if I'll have anything ready for Friday's update. :(
Well, I decided to take a quick pic with my new mini webcam. If everything goes well at work, I might buy myself a nice digital cam next month. I feel like taking lots of reference pics of landscapes and architecture, especially since I'm pretty bad at drawing backgrounds. Anyway, the picture above is what I call my Digital Workspace. It's just the table that's right beside my computer station. This is where I usually fine-tune my sketches and organize my stuff before scanning it into the computer. Sometimes, this is also where I end up eating while I'm online. Maybe later, I'll be able to show more of my "studio". Sigh...my headache is making it hard to focus on this rant, so I think I'll stop for now. I'll have more artwork soon. In fact, I'm currently working on some Jinko No flyers for SakuraCon! Stay tuned and you'll get a sneak peek of the concept art for them...C ya later!
