"Sports Fan?" |
"Whew... Whatta Day" |

I just got in from a Seattle Supersonics game here in Seattle. No,
I'm not a sports fan, but my dad got the tickets from work and it
was a chance for some quality time. It was fun. I find sports much
more tolerable in person. I've been writing like mad on the scripts for version 2 and have
the at least the first draft of the first 50 or so done. I also have been playing my guitar a lot more lately. It's very relaxing to make music. If you've ever thought about trying to learn an instrument, I say go for it. You'll thank yourself later. And stick with it. I still suck at guitar, but I'm finally seeing improvement. My thoughts are very disjointed and random tonight. I think it's from being so sleep deprived lately. This is what happens when your friends keep coming on after 11 and talking to you until after midnight. Ah well, it's worth it. Oh, er... what was I saying...? And don't forget I'll be at Sakuracon this April. Hope to see some of you there! spambot - March 12, 2003 |
Well,
today seemed like the hottest day ever and I was pretty out of it all
afternoon. Work was incredibly slow, too. Oh yeah, I haven't mentioned
it yet...I work with Income Taxes! Lots of fun...Not.
So I'm tired and hot while I sit at my desk, trying to draw but I just can't. I look around and see all the stuff that's scattered in front of me. I've got Jinko No outlines and now, new scripts! I try to picture some layouts as I read through them again and scan for anything tricky when a couple of words send red flags in my mind: Trucks...Motorcycles...Auditorium-style classroom! It'll be a challenge but that's ok...I already know where to get good reference pics. I put away the scripts, stare at the incomplete UMAW storyboard that's also due this week, and sigh. I also catch a peek of the Ronin Lady sketch under my clipboard and am reminded of yet another project waiting for me! It's not so bad, though...I just wish it wasn't so hot today and that I didn't feel so drained. I am happy with how this Volleyball strip came together, though. This is the first finished, full-sized manga page that I've done in over five years...I hope you guys like it. Heh, I'm glad I finally got a chance to use some of my old manga supplies that I bought years ago! Well, time to call it a day. Until the next update...Stay tuned and c ya later!
