Anyone who takes part in the forum
may have noticed that my little brother has started his own comic
called "Super
Comic!" The crazy thing is that the main character is...
me. No, he didn't ask permission... JN is on schedual. We're trying our best to get the first comic up by Friday, May 16th. That date is final, though, so don't freak out if it isn't up on time. We also switched Wednesday updates to Tuesday because this evens out the week a bit better. I saw X2 at the Cinerama opening night. I enjoyed this movie quite a bit. I think they actually did a better job with the characters this time around. Magneto seemed much more like he's supposed to. Darth Vader-esk, even. I liked how they set up the next movie and not just quickly at the end, but gradually throughout the movie. My only gripe was how Deathstrike didn't talk. Villians that don't talk aren't all that interesting to me no matter what crazy powers they have. My Sakuracon pics are up! My friend's memorial service is this Friday, so don't expect an update. Well, it seems like I delayed myself from facing the judicial system
long enough and I finally had to go to jury duty this last week. Needless
to say, I was less than thrilled to sit around waiting for the manditory
ten days. Even if a case presented itself before my time was up, I
was determined to decline it immediately. I didn't trust the estimated
trial lengths ever since the first time I served. The "week-long"
case ended up taking three weeks instead! To my surprise, I learned that the system changed to a new "one day/one trial" format. Basically, I only had to sit out one day and if a case didn't come up on that day, I was done with my jury service. To make things even better, the court clerk announced that they didn't need any more jurors just before the lunch break and the entire ordeal only lasted three hours! With that business now out of the way, I have a bit more free time to dedicate to my artistic projects. The art slump is slowly fading away, although a lot of my sketches are still not coming out right. I've started working on JNv2 Chapter 1 and hope to have the beginning strips ready by Mid-May. For now, here's a silly filler that I made up in order to break out of my slump. I hope you like it! :)
