The first two major characters have now been introduced; Dennis Lincoln and Rachel Phillips. Chapter one deals exclusively with them. Chapter 2 will introduce more, same with 3, etc... I think most of the major characters will have appeared by chapter 3, but don't worry, JN chapters are pretty short compared to most web comics out there.
As more characters start to come into the comic, I'll start working on the characters section of the site.
Rachel is my favorite character to write. She speaks her mind, and has a great sense of sarcasm.

I finally decided to try out the beta test of Ragnarok Online, since everyone has been going on and on about it. It's pretty fun. Reminds me of Secret of Man except with job classes like Final Fantasy Tactics. I'm playing on the Loki server as "spambot" right now. (wonder how I came up with that one :P )
My only gripe so far is how freekin long it takes to lvl up. Maybe they can adjust that stuff for the final version.

I think I found the nerdiest quote ever, and it's from non other than Bill Gates;
When asked in 1986 if he ever wished to go back to programming, Gates responded:
"Oh sure, absolutely. Then you control everything. There's no compromise. Every line is yours and you feel good about every line. It's kind of selfish, but it's like being allowed to do pure mathematics, and yet you have the feedback of making something really work. I sometimes envy my colleagues who get to focus just on the program they're writing." - in Programmers at Work by Susan Lammers.
Found that in a book of photomosiacs, one of which was off Mr. Gates, made entirely out of currency. Very appropriate...

If you didn't notice, below my rants I've been adding a little section called "Current Obsessions" that let you know the games, anime, and gizmo's I've been into lately. These will always be links to info on the subject whenever possible.

Current Obsessions:

Ozma
Ragnarok Online

Well, it's been a busy weekend for me, but that's cool. Jinko No artwork still remains a bit ahead of schedule and I just finished a new part! I also spent an entire day re-organizing artwork for the UMAW Design Archive. Work slowly continues on my website...I almost feel like starting from scratch again, though. Heh, I guess I'm never fully satisfied with my own web designs.

Just for fun, I researched some info about creating my own bulletin board/forum yesterday and nearly gave up on it. It wasn't working and I was getting frustrated when I finally came across the root of the problem...I didn't type in my database name correctly! Heh, a few minutes after that, I had a working forum! So far, I'm just playing around with the settings and customizing it. Who knows, maybe I'll keep it for my website...if I can set up in a fun way that would attract visitors.

I also went back to Little Tokyo today. Most of the stores were closed (I forgot it was Memorial Day!), but the main bookstore was still open, so I was able to get some new art supplies there. Browsing around, I saw the new Intron Depot book by Masamune Shirow and felt like getting it too, but it was expensive. Funny, I always come across the Intron Depot books and since I'm a fan of Shirow, I always tell myself that I'll buy it later. Looking through them again, I like this new one the best. It features more of his latest style, which is cleaner and more cg'ed than his old stuff. Heh, maybe I'll get it later... ;)
